Literature study questions and close reading practice
42 question banks, 8,805 questions. Every multiple-choice item is written with a full rationale, and every bank is free to sample without an account.
Close-reading sets on the assigned canon: Shakespeare, the nineteenth-century novel, modernism, Greek tragedy and the American classics. Questions here work at the level of text rather than plot summary — they ask about a specific passage, image or turn of phrase, and the rationales point back to the lines that settle the reading.

Where to start
The largest banks in this group carry the widest blueprint coverage, which makes them the most useful first diagnostic — a full pass tells you which chapters are weak before you commit study time to any of them.
- Of Mice and Men250 questions
- 1984 (George Orwell)230 questions
- Animal Farm230 questions
- Beloved230 questions
- Brave New World230 questions
How questions are written
Each bank is built from the published content outline for its exam, so its chapters match the domains the exam actually reports on. Multiple-choice items state the controlling principle in the rationale rather than simply naming the credited answer, and distractors are written to fail for a specific, identifiable reason.
